Kinyatta E. Gray's Book Signing For Her Memoir 30 Days Was A Rousing Success!

November 10, 2019 is a day that I will never forget! Dr. Jamilah and I jointly hosted our very own book signing brunch at Mrs. K’s Tollhouse in Silver Spring, MD.

The venue was amazing and the food was certainly delicious!

Over 30 people from various backgrounds and experiences joined us for a delightful afternoon of words of inspiration from Dr. Jamilah, followed by words of reflection by me. Next we all enjoyed a wonderful brunch and ended the occasion with the official book signing.

The moment was bittersweet also. I can’t help but to think that if my mom was here, there would never have been a memoir.

However, I also know that my mom is still here in spirit and absolutely loves all of my accomplishments and all of the steps I have taken to keep her memory alive.

My memoir: 30 Days…Surviving the Trauma and Unexpected Loss of a Single Parent as an Only Child has impacted people in a profound way. I share parts of my life so that readers can get to know me better and perhaps see that I’m just like them and have experienced things that they may have in their lives. Often times we discover that we have more in common than not when we are open to being transparent with one another.
